Stratton Mountain officially opened on December 29, 1961 with three lifts, eight trails and 22 inches of fresh snow. Skiing had arrived. Golf and tennis soon followed, Designed by noted golf course architect Geoffrey Cornish, the Stratton course opened for play in 1964. Among the first of its kind, Stratton’s renowned Golf School was founded by Arnold Palmer in 1969.
Through the years, Stratton has grown into a vibrant resort Village. Today generations of friends and family come home to Stratton, sharing the fun, laughs, learning and the stories.

Get ready to have a time of your life! The most important part of having fun is staying safe while knowing your limits. Getting hurt is the quickest way to ruin a great day on the hill. The goal of Stratton’s safety team is to provide you with all of the necessary tools to ensure that you have the best time on the Mountain. Safety never takes a vacation so a little bit of caution goes a long way.
Stratton has been recognized with six National Ski Areas Association Safety Awards for comprehensive programs and innovative initiatives including the terrain park Safety Education Session.
THE CARLOS OTIS CLINIC
Stratton Mountain Urgent Care at The Carlos Otis Clinic is a state-of-the-art medical facility steps from the gondola base. Staffed by orthopedic surgeons and physicians, the Clinic provides the Stratton community with general medical services, minor surgery, orthopedics, and advanced life support. Please take advantage of the Carlos Otis Clinic’s free rapid-response, emergency communication program. Register your family and you will be contacted immediately should a family member be involved in a mishap. During winter season, the Clinic is open (during the winter season) 8:30am – 5pm and 8:30am – 9pm Friday, Saturday and Holiday Periods.

Snowsports can be enjoyed in many ways. You will see people using alpine, snowboard, telemark, cross country and adaptive equipment. Regardless of how you decide to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing and snowboarding that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code and share with others the responsibility for a great mountain experience.
HELMET USAGE
The primary safety consideration for all skiers and snowboarders is to ski and ride in a controlled and responsible manner. Stratton Mountain recommends wearing helmets for skiing and riding. Skiers and snowboarders are encouraged to educate themselves on the benefits and limitations of helmet usage.

ELEVATION
Elevation is open to public dining with a three course prix fixe menu for $35 on Thursdays (non-holiday) from 5:30-9pm and Sundays (non-holiday) 5:30-8pm. Guests will feel right at home in casual, quiet, and refined dining, with a sophisticated wine list.
GRIZZLY’S AT THE BASE LODGE
Conveniently located in the Main Base Area next to the Gondola, Grizzly’s is open for lunch, dinner and late night with draft beer specials, wood-fired pizza and a whole menu of tasty fare. Grizzly’s is home to the best view around and the most hopping apres scene at Stratton with live music and specials every weekend. Bring the family, bring your friends and relax after a great day on the slopes.
THE MARKET IN MAIN BASE LODGE
Super convenient, The Market is located in the Main Base Lodge and has everything you’re looking for when it comes to food. Serving breakfast and lunch daily, you’re sure to find something to satisfy the pickiest of eaters appetite.
MUGS COFFEE SHOP
Grab everything to fuel your day on the mountain at Mugs, offering items from made-to-order lattes, Chai teas and coffees to freshly baked muffins and pastries.
MOUNTAIN SMOKE
Mid-Mountain Lodge is convenient and full of food, seating and full service bar. Located at the bottom of Frank’s Fall Line, it’s a great place to quickly refuel mid-day. Grab breakfast or lunch in between your skiing and riding. Mountain Smoke serves up house-smoked barbecue from Vermont farm raised beef, chicken, turkey and pork, traditional sauces with a twist, house-made sides, beer brats and salads. Slow cooked. Served up fast.
Conveniently located steps from the base of the mountain, our fully licensed child care program offers a full day of fun in an environment with safe and enriching toys, art projects and storytelling with a professional staff that understands how to fuel your child’s imagination. We open early so moms and dads can enjoy a full day on the slopes, assured that their kids are well cared for. Lunch (for full-day session only) and healthy snacks included. Stratton childcare is part of the Vermont Child Care Industry and Careers Council. This is an industry that supports Vermont’s children, families, communities, schools and businesses by promoting the highest quality child care for young and school age children through the recruitment, development, mentoring and retention of qualified child care professionals.

Our childcare is a PEANUT SAFE facility.If your child has severe food allergies or dietary restrictions please pack your child a lunch and two snacks to ensure their health and safety during meals.
PARENTS:
All Stratton Childcare staff are certified in pediatric and adult C.P.R. and First Aid.
A parent or legal guardian will be required to fill out a childcare Registration Form with emergency and medical information each season. Children that are ill will not be admitted into childcare. Childcare Health Policy
Parents are encouraged to check in at any time through the receptionist; but please do not drop in for a visit, this has proven to be disruptive and upsetting for the children.

Infants under 12 months will be provided with cribs so they may sleep as needed. All other ages will be provided with nap mats after lunch. If your child does not nap they will be offered a quiet activity after 30 minutes of resting on a mat.
Adventure Camp is an option for children who are 4-5 years old, are potty trained and do not nap.

Maximize your ski and snowboard experience with instruction that is tailored to you. Stratton offers the best in personalized, one-on-one professional instruction. Private lessons range from one hour to a full day session and are available for one individual with additional options to accommodate a group of four.
TAKE IT TO THE TOP GROUP LESSON
Created as the next step in progression for the novice skier and snowboarder, Take it to the Top includes a complete gear rental package, an all-mountain lift ticket and six hours of instruction in a group lesson plus time with your coach to review the morning and define an afternoon plan.
TEEN & ADULT GROUP LESSONS
Make the most of your mountain time. Join a group of enthusiasts with similar ability and interests and hit the trail with a pro who will work with you on anything from carving a sweet turn to tackling the trees, steeps, moguls or parks. Plus, you’ll tap into some great insider tips on terrain, gear, adjusting BIG CUB
Kids will explore the mountain and learn new skills on snow alongside skiers with similar ability levels part of the Big Cub program. Coaches foster a fun, exciting learning environment that allows children to make new friends and progress to the next level of skiingour technique for changing snow conditions and even where to find the best apres experience.

When it comes to premium comfort and convenience, there’s no better way to travel to Stratton in the winter than Hampton Jitney. The Stratton Jitney will offer the same level services and style of travel with direct service from Manhattan to Stratton Mountain Resort.

DROP OFF
IF YOU ARE NOT A PERMIT HOLDER:
Please bear to the left at the entrance to the Skier Dropoff Area in the main lot.
Visitors are welcomed to pull up next to the curb on the left to unload vehicles.
Once vehicle is unloaded, we ask that you proceed to the general parking area previously indicated on the entry signs to park your vehicle for your stay with us.
PERMIT PARKING
Parking permit spaces are held from 7am until 1pm.
After 1 pm on any given day, the permit area will be opened up to the general public for parking use. The left edge as you enter the permit area is used for picking up and dropping off of our guests from various parking lots and community shuttle routes. We ask that you please keep this drive-through lane open and clear of non bus traffic at all times. Level 4 (the entry level) of the permit area typically fills up first. At this point, a parking attendant may direct you to follow the signs to a lower level of the garage and additional permit parking spaces.
If you are a permit holder… Please have your parking permit displayed in full view of the parking attendant at all times. This will allow the attendant to keep the line moving swiftly by not having to stop each vehicle to confirm that a permit is present.

GENERAL PARKING PROCESS:
LOT #1
After available Garage parking is filled, we will direct you to Parking Lot 1.
Lot #1 is located about 2/10ths of a mile beyond the parking garage on your left just beyond Liftline Lodge.
Please pull into the lot and follow signage or parking attendants to a parking spot.
Shuttle operating hours for Lot 1 are 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
LOT #2
After available Lot 1 parking is filled, we will direct you to Parking Lot 2.
Parking Lot #2 is located about 7/10ths of a mile past Lot 1 on the left almost across from the driveway to the Maintenance facility.
Shuttles servicing guests at Lot 2 are 50-passenger school bus type vehicles with exterior ski racks.
Buses pick up and drop off near the entry to Lot 2 and deliver guests to the Skier Drop Off Area of Level 4 of the parking garage.
Shuttle operating hours to and from Lot 2 are from when the lot is opened in the morning until 5 p.m.
SUN BOWL LOT
Sun Bowl Lot is located at the Sun Bowl Base Area.
This Base Area offers a full-service base lodge.
Sun Bowl Lot is past Lot 2. Take the next right across from the Stratton Vol. Firehouse. Continue out this road approx. one quarter mile and take a right onto the Sunbowl Entrance Road.
In addition to weekends and holiday periods, the Sunbowl shuttles will be running whenever the only available parking is in the Sun Bowl.
Shuttle picks up and drops off in the lower left main parking lot. This shuttle leaves the Sunbowl, bound for the main base area at 10 minute intervals.
The Sun Bowl Lot also offers a permit parking area which is located closest to the lodge.
Skier drop off at the Sunbowl is located at the top of the circular drive near the entrance to the lodge. We ask that you pull up next to the person in front of you, unload your vehicle, and then follow the signage to the appropriate lot.
HANDICAP PARKING:
All Stratton Resort Lodges and buildings have designated handicap parking spaces. At the main base area they are located both in level 5 of the parking garage as well as a few spaces at the rear of the base lodge. The Sunbowl Lodge has handicap parking available at the rear of the lodge.
DRIVING TO STRATTON MOUNTAIN RESORT
You’ll find the Stratton Mountain access road is off Route 30, right next to the 7-Eleven in Bondville, VT 05340. As you travel along Route 30, please respect the slower speed limits, helping to preserve the character and charm of our neighboring communities.
