SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Home to two world-class ski resorts, four-season recreation, sophisticated dining and year-round events—all just 32 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport.
Park City Mountain Resort is a ski resort in the western United States in Park City, Utah, located 32 miles (51 km) east of Salt Lake City. Park City, as a ski resort and area is known, contains several training courses for the U.S. Ski Team, including slalom and giant slalom runs. During the 2002 Winter Olympics the resort hosted the snowboarding events and the men’s and women’s alpine giant slalom events. During the ski season, most slopes and lifts are open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The resort was opened on December 21, 1963 as Treasure Mountain by United Park City Mines.
Treasure Mountain’s name was changed to the Park City Ski Area for its fourth season of 1966-67, and in 1996, became known as the Park City Mountain Resort. The resort had grown to include eight peaks and nine bowls, with 3,300 acres (5.2 sq mi; 13.4 km2) of skiing and 16 chairlifts.[4] The resort has also developed summer activities including an alpine slide, alpine coaster, zip-lines, and several hiking and biking trails.
A sister ski area, originally known as Park City West and later as Canyons Resort, opened in 1968. Deer Valley Resort opened in December 1981, at the site of the former Snow Park.

If you enjoy waiting in lift lines all day, by all means go the old-fashioned route. But if you prefer to spend your time shredding it up on the slopes, download this app. The EpicMix Time app shows up-to-the-minute wait times at each lift across the resort, making planning your next route a breeze. Using this app, you will able to beat the lines and spend more time on the mountain. EpicMix Time Insights allows you to plan your ski trip like never before. And while no one can predict exactly what conditions will be or how many people will be on the slopes, this data can certainly give some insight on expectations for your day.
There are a few dining options on the mountain with a variety of options from salads to pizza to chili.
If you’ve worked up an appetite, the brand new Miners Camp restaurant sits at the base of Claim Jumper. Grab a hot soup and made-to-order sandwiches and head out to the huge sunny deck – great for people watching and taking in the action.
A trip up Silverlode Express will take you to a high elevation lunch spot – The Summit House – with amazing panoramic views of Deer Valley and the surrounding peaks as well as tasty pizza and burgers.

We are a state licensed summer child care facility providing fun, age-appropriate activities like hiking, sports, mountain activities and swimming. Our unique locations allow us to include fun within nature for our participants. There are age appropriate activities for all children in our care.
The daycare facility is located only at the Canyons Village Base at the Grand Summit Hotel (this may impact where you choose to stay). The Little Adventures Children’s Center welcomes babies (from 6 weeks), toddlers and young children up to 6 years old. For children 2- 6 years there is an optional 1 hour private ski lessons add-on available. Reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak times.
Park City Mountain Resort has an absolutely world class snow school with just about any lesson format you can think of. Ski lessons are offered from 3 years and up, and snowboard lessons from 4 years. A variety of formats are available including privates, semi-privates and group lessons. Depending on where you are staying, you can select the lesson location that is most suitable — Canyons Village Base or Park City Base. Family group lessons also provide an attractive option if everyone is more or less at the same level.
PRIVATE LESSONS
When it comes to learning at your own pace, a tailored experience is best. Beyond the instruction and exclusive lift line access, you’ll receive the local’s point of view. Your instructor is the ultimate resource on the best terrain. When you opt for a private lesson like the Guided Mountain Experience or Family Private Lesson, the teachings extend well beyond mountain basics.
CHILDREN’S GROUP LESSONS
Give your kids a passion for the mountains and watch them develop a love of skiing and snowboarding in our Children’s Group Lessons, now featuring Cookie Race Wednesdays!
For the benefit of all children in our group lessons, instructions will be provided in English only. If your family requires another language, please see our private lessons.
TEEN GROUP LESSONS
We select instructors for their ability to connect with teens aged 15-17 years old. They’ll keep your teen engaged and learning new skills, while instilling the confidence they need to navigate the mountain—from the first time they try snow sports, to carving turns on intermediate terrain!
Should your visit fall outside of the available Teen XP dates or your teen is at a skill level above those offered in Teen XP, we recommend that you choose a Private Lesson or Adult Group Lesson.
ADULT GROUP LESSONS
(for adults 15+ years old)
A day on the mountain becomes an unforgettable adventure with any of our Adult Group Lessons. Whether you’re new to the sport, looking to build confidence, or wanting to challenge yourself to reach new heights, our Ski & Snowboard School can help to get you there.
